Seiler
Appliance first opened it doors in December 1976. When Dick
& Lynn Seiler first opened, they started with selling
General Electric Appliances and offered appliance service
as well as expert sales and installation. They were
located in their first location at 21 3rd Ave NE in Pocahontas.

They had moved here fresh out of College from Iowa Central
Community College ,retail marketing class. Dick also had been
working with his father John Seiler in the Appliance Business
starting when he was a young teenager.
Lynn has been the Office Manager working along side Dick all
these years.
Ron started in 1978 as a part time employee while working
thru high school and started full time in June of 1982 after
finishing his college training from Iowa Central Community
College from the Retail Marketing Class. He has become a highly
skilled technician earning several service excellence awards
from General Electric Ranking him in the top 10% in the country.

Next came the opportunity to sell and service Maytag Appliances
in 1979. In 1981 our 2nd move to a bigger location at 305
N Main (in the Pocahontas County ISU Extension BLDG). The
year of 1984 brought yet another opportunity to sell &
service Amana Appliances.
In
1986 we began Plumbing & Heating & Cooling. The business
has grown
with the addition of Trane & Lennox heating,cooling and
Indoor Air Quality Equipment, Kohler and Delta Faucets and
Fixtures.
In (1984) we moved to our new location at 317 N Main (the
former Dolan's Furniture Store).
Tony Seiler started in 1993 working part time while still
in High School, then in 1997 he started full time after graduating
from High School. He completed Maytag Factory service training
in 1998. Lennox Heating & Air Conditioning service in
1999. Lennox Duct work design in 2004. NATE (North American
Technician Excellence) in 2005.
Chuck Houston started working full time in 2001 as a Plumbing
Technician Equipment Installer and delivery person.
Tammy Laird stared working full time in 2002 as a clerical
clerk and has become a valuable asset helping wherever help
is needed.
Charlie white first started working part time the summer of
2001 while still in High School helping with installations.
Then in 2005 he started working full time to help Ron on the
Appliance side learning the repair trade in the Field. |
